Whenever possible, use an economical, low-temperature programme and avoid pre-washing;
Make full use of the machine's full load capacity, saving water and energy;
Always keep the salt and rinse aid deposits full to reduce energy consumption during dishwashing;
Use the dishwasher instead of washing dishes by hand. Dishwashers consume half the energy and 1/3 of the water compared to washing dishes by hand;
Install a thermal pump (independent water streams: one for cold water and one for hot water) to use water preheated by other more efficient sources (water heater, gas boiler or even solar thermal panel);
Ensure filters in equipment are always clean;
Whenever possible, opt for centrifugation instead of using the dryer, as centrifugation uses much less energy;
If you have a bi- or tri-hourly tariff, schedule use of the machines for periods when the cost of electricity is lower. This measure can save you an average of EUR 30 per year.
